RAMP Home Modifications

Affordable, Custom Solutions

RAMP stands for Renovation And Modification Planning - a name that reflects our holistic, safety-focused approach to home accessibility. Despite our name, our services expand far beyond wheelchair ramps! We don’t simply install equipment; we evaluate, plan, and design thoughtful modifications that help each person live more safely and independently at home. We also help with miscellaneous maintenance tasks like changing lightbulbs and air filters.

Our Services

Our goal is to help individuals remain independent in their own homes and give caregivers peace of mind knowing their loved one’s environment supports their safety and wellbeing. Some of the most common home modifications we typically provide include the installation of:

  • Grab bars in bathrooms

  • Handheld shower heads and adaptable faucets

  • Shower accessibility improvements

  • Handrails for stairs and bed rails

  • Adjusted cabinet hardware

  • Wheelchair ramps (portable, aluminum, or custom wood)

  • Non-slip flooring solutions

  • Miscellaneous maintenance tasks like changing lightbulbs, air filters, or smoke detector batteries, installing smart doorbells, and more.

“We are dedicated to finding solutions to each unique challenge and are ready to work with you individually to create a safe, comfortable, and functional home that supports your goals for independence and quality of life.”

Why Home Modifications Matter

Nearly 90% of older adults say they want to age in their own homes rather than move into a senior living community. But as mobility and balance change, the home can quickly become a source of risk.

  • Falls are the leading cause of injury among older adults - and most happen at home.

  • Each year, more than 3 million seniors are treated in emergency departments for fall-related injuries.

  • Simple, proactive modifications can drastically reduce risk while supporting independence and confidence for both individuals and caregivers.

RAMP helps individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent and allows families to rest easier knowing their loved one’s home is equipped for daily life.

Grounded in Occupational Therapy

At RAMP, home modifications begin with expertise, not hardware. Our projects are guided by an Occupational Therapist who may visit the home, evaluate daily routines, and identify real safety risks. This ensures that modifications are not guesswork but tailored, strategic solutions that support independence - whether that means the right grab bar placement, safer bathroom access, improved lighting, or a redesigned layout. With clinical insight and licensed contractors working together, we create homes that are not only safer, but truly supportive of dignity, confidence, and everyday independence.
